Crossbelt Sander Retro-Fits

Since the Crossbelt is relatively new to the industry, there are only a few retrofits that have been designed and are available today for installation on older Kimwood Crossbelt sanders. Kimwood service technicians continually provide updates in regards to industry demands for new features. These requests are reviewed and implemented accordingly.

Along the lines of the retrofits are those parts and or assemblies that are in continual demand by the customer. Because all Kimwood sanders are different the stocking of every part for each individual customer is not possible however, we have included as part of the retrofit package some important parts and or assemblies the customer is recommended to consider stocking.

  • Air Knife Assemblies
Replaces the traditional powered radax brushes. The air knives do not come into contact with the sanded products so maintenance costs are greatly reduced.

  • Pinch Roll Mount Height Adjust Screws
Extra long screws, threaded full length which allow for and include a special thin jam nut for locking. Replaces the set screw and nylon button arrangement.

  • Secondary Cross Flow Exhaust Ducts
These additional ducts are plumbed into the exsisting exhaust system to collect the dust that builds up around the drive roll supports.
