 Click picture to see more photos | The Master Series sander was designed and built predominately for the sanding of material manufactured by the secondary market. The majority of these sanders were equipped with a conveyor belt type feed drive system which allowed the handling and sanding of smaller pieces of material. Designed as a lighter sander than typical Kimwood sanders, the Master Series sander used a 103" sanding belt and was primarily used for sanding door materials, louvers, flooring, display cases and component furniture parts. |
Master Series sanders were then modified and used for the sanding of lumber. The first Master Series sander was built in 1971. The Master Series has since been superceded with the Panel Master Sander and Lumber Sander however, spare parts and retrofits are and will continue to be available.
Retro-Fits:
Kimwood has been involved in the manufacture of sanders for the wood products industry since 1963. Through the years, the sanders have continually been updated to accomodate specific industry applications which characterize the everchanging industry. As the applications have changed so have certain areas of the sanders. In some cases, Kimwood has introduced new models to meet new applications or modified existing models simply to remain competitive in the industry. Kimwood maintains historical files for all of it products lines. As a result of this, almost all of the equipment originally supplied can be manufactured from historical files.
