Air Bag Tracking Retrofit

All Kimwood sanders have utilized an air cylinder to track the abrasive belts back and forth prior to the introduction of the air bag system, regardless of the model of the sander. The original 2-roll configuration machines, including the American Series, Panel Master, & Master Series Lumber Sanders utilized a 2" bore cylinder with a ½" stroke.

All new Kimwood Sanders of the above mentioned models are now equipped with Air Bag Tracking. It operates smoother, more positively, and with less impact to the tracking system than the old cylinder design. This allows for less maintenance, lower replacement costs, and less downtime. As an Air Bag Tracking Retrofit, these advantages are now available to our customers with earlier model sanders.

In addition to the maintenance advantages, operators appreciate the Air Bag Tracking system because it is easy to adjust, and less likely to need readjustment when new sanding belts are installed on the machine.
