Kimwood Manufacturing Acquisitions Wanted

Kimwood is acquisitive and always searching for manufacturing companies or product lines that fit with Kimwood's manufacturing profile, both in the wood products industry and recently in other industries unrelated to wood products. Kimwood past acquisitions include the Smithway Sander product lines, the Tri-State Machinery Company, the Stetson-Ross planer product line and replacement parts business, acquisition of the manufacturing rights to the Kimwood Hog and others. The company has also internally developed numerous proprietary products.

Kimwood Acquisition Criteria

  • The acquisition of manufacturers or licensing of product lines with significant replacement parts component, either wood products or non-wood products related.

  • Revenues $1 million+ .

  • High value added products requiring high skill engineering, fabrication, machining, electrical, and assembly operations.

  • Proprietary at least by nature of complexity or market position, OEM's preferred.
